Many activities responding to International Day against Drug Abuse, June 26 will be organized throughout the province today, aiming to raise public awareness of the harmful effects of drug abuse and how to prevent drug abuse in the community via many forms.
At the ceremony launching activities in response to International Day against Drug Abuse, youths in Hiep An ward in TDM town will organize a contest for flower-decorated vehicles with the slogan of “Say no to drug”, “Abuse drug prevention at school”, “Drug prevention is the responsibility of each individual, each family and the entire society…They will also make a parade to disseminate the harmful effects of drug abuse to all people and call for them to take part in drug prevention at ward-based lodging facilities…
Local youths over time also got involved in many significant activities against social evils, drug abuse and HIV/AIDS. Noticeably, some voluntarily approached drug addicts to help them get rid of drug and integrate into the community…These deeds contributed to raising awareness of the local people, especially youths in drug prevention.
