Early April 24, Ben Cat city held a get-together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) and the 1st anniversary of its establishment as a city (May 1, 2024 – May 1, 2025). The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Triet, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Reportedly, during its 50-year journey of construction and development, despite numerous difficulties and challenges, Ben Cat city has made remarkable progress thanks to the close guidance of provincial leaders and the solidarity and determination of the city’s entire Party armed forces and people. The city has quickly risen to become a dynamic, modern urban area. In recent years, the city’s economy has grown significantly, with the average annual economic growth rate reaching 11.98%...
On this occasion, provincial Party Committee awarded 30, 45 and 50-year Party membership badges to Party members. Gifts were presented to officers and soldiers of Battalion 1 Phu Loi and the Thu Dau Mot Special Task Force who served during the resistance war against the Amerian imperialists. The city’s People's Committee also honored collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the local development.
*Also on April 24, North Tan Uyen district held a ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025). The event was attended by heroic Vietnamese mother Doan Thi Cheo and Nguyen Thi My Hang, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committtee’s Internal Affairs Commission.
During the event, delegates recalled the heroic traditions of the historic days of April. Continuing the tradition of earlier generations from this former revolutionary base, the Party, government and people of North Tan Uyen have demonstrated solidarity, dynamism and creativity to overcome all challenges and achieve significant milestones, making the district become a worth-living and investing place.
On this occasion, the district awarded the certificates of merit from provincial People’s Committee Chairman to 13 collectives for outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in 2024. And 30, 40, 45 and 50- years Party membership badges were also presented to 13 Party members.

At the meeting, delegates had the opportunity to exchange with historical witnesses - those who lived and fought to be listened to, understood and reminded of the value of peace - independence - freedom and happiness.
