Implementing the Vietnam Youth Union’s project of building 2,500 charity houses, the provincial youth union is concretizing activities to build charity houses. A series of charity houses will be granted in the coming time to welcome the 80th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Activities for the poor will be boosted.
Sending love to poor youths
To reduce poverty and eye the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, the “charity houses” program for the second period (2011-2015) set by the local youth union is born. The entire province has still many poor households and youths.
The program will give priorities to support poor young households. Within 4 years of the program, the union will build 100 charity houses, each worth VND25-30mil with the minimum area of 24-28sqm.
Aside from funds raised from donors and local authorities, contributions from beneficiaries will help perfect the charity houses. Moreover, volunteer youth teams contribute to the program positively.
In the coming time, Di An and Thuan An town youth unions will be the first units granting charity houses to 3 poor youths.
