That was the direction of provincial Party Standing Committee at a meeting on the local Covid-19 prevention and control on the afternoon of August 10.
At the meeting, provincial Party Standing Committee emphasized that localities should coordinate with the health sector and relevant units to persevere in tracing and screening F0 cases, making the most of the remaining time of social distancing to stamp out the pandemic. For testing work, units and localities should not abuse rapid testing. They need to take pooled samples for PCR testing and return results within 12 hours. The health sector also needs to urgently complete procedures for the procurement of equipment on the 2nd and 3rd floors to collect and treat Covid-19 patients.
Especially, the health sector will cooperate with localities to further transfer patients in localities, fill beds at field hospitals for treatment in association with perfecting equipment and supplementing medical supplies. With Covid-19 deaths, the sector should pay attention to research and application of technology in handling.
Provincial Party Standing Committee also directed districts, towns, cities and communes, wards and townships to prepare plans for normal operation in new conditions under the province's "green zone" construction plan. Schools that were previously requisitioned by functional sector as isolation areas need to be returned to localities to prepare for the new school year.
