Under the direction of provincial Women's Union on organizing activities to mark the 114th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2024), the 1984th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung (Trung Sisters) uprising, the Ao Dai Week (from March 1 to 8), International Day of Happiness (March 20), provincial Women's Unions at all levels have organized many exciting, meaningful and practical activities.
Especially, in response to Ao Dai Week, on the morning of March 3, the Women's Union of Di An City organized the second Ao Dai festival named "Like clouds on the street" at the city’s Administrative Center Square. The festival was an Ao Dai performance of more than 1,000 officials, members of the city’s Women’s Union. On this occasion, the Organization Board awarded 150 sets of white Ao dai worth VND 80 million to female students with difficult circumstances and launched an online contest for beautiful Ao Dai photos.
*Previously, on the evening of March 2, Thu Dau Mot city’s Women's Union organized a parade in Ao Dai for nearly 1,000 officials, members and women from 14 wards of the city. They performed Ao Dai together to the background music of "Beautiful Vietnam" song.
On this occasion, the city’s Women's Union held the awards ceremony of the 2024 beautiful Ao Dai photo contest with the theme of "Vietnamese Ao Dai - Charming women of Thu Dau Mot"; organized a contest on decorating flower baskets and performed traditional ao dai costumes.
*Thuan An city’s Women's Union organized a group to offer incense, expressing respect and gratitude for the sacrifices of heroic martyrs in Thuan An Hoa War Zone in Thuan Giao ward. Meanwhile, the Women's Unions of North Tan Uyen district, Di An city, Thu Dau Mot city, provincial Police Agency... responded to Ao Dai Week by wearing Ao Dai when going to work and taking photos for graceful Ao Dai photo contests…
