In the past year, women movement of “women help each other develop household economy” offered non-interest loans worth over VND7bil for poor sisters. In addition, the union introduced jobs for local needy sisters with an income of VND3-4mil per capita per month. Especially, the union mobilized to grant 8 charity houses worth nearly VND300mil for underprivileged women.
On this occasion, Di An town Women Union initiated an emulation movement to salute the 65th anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh’s national appeal for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 -2013) with the theme of “following Uncle Ho’s teachings, thrift practice for sustainable poverty reduction”…
Also the same day, Ban Cat district Mass Mobilization Committee’s Labor Union held a meeting to celebrate the 103rd anniversary of Int’l Women’s Day. At the meeting, local sisters tracked back glorious tradition of women during the past resistance wars.
Through the movement of helping each other develop household economy, as many as 514 rich sisters help 475 poor ones by offering non-interest loans worth VNĐ00mil and among others.

On March 7, Phu Giao district’s Labor Union forwarded a meeting to mark the 103rd anniversary of Int’l Women’s Day and held a talk-show on woman’s morals with the participation of over 100 members.
In addition, sisters learnt about topics of traditional moral virtues of Vietnamese women and among others. The talk-show helped them increase awareness on role and position of women in family and society.
