Many activities take care of workers' lives

 Responding to Workers' Month and Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2023, in recent days, businesses, trade unions, and local authorities have done many activities to take care of workers’ lives both physically and mentally. Employees who are facing difficulties, one having disadvantaged circumstances feel happy as being cared for.

Currently, enterprises in the wood and textile industries, although facing many difficulties in production and business, have many activities to take care of their employees. Recently, Trade Union of Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd. (Thuan An City) has organized a series of practical and meaningful activities to take care of the material and mental life of employees, such as to sell necessities at preferential prices, discounts from 10% to 40% on essential items, organize free medical examination, give gifts to 12 workers suffering from occupational accidents...

Besides, the Trade Union also coordinated with Directors Board of the company to award seniority bonuses to 96 employees who have worked at the company for 5 to 25 years. The Trade Union also organized a draw, prizes are 100 vouchers to buy necessities at the company's trade union supermarket and held mini-football tournaments and men's - women's volleyball tournaments.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Vice President of Trade Union of Scancom Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An City) said, although the company is in a difficult situation, lacking orders, the company organized meaningful activities in May to encourage and retain employees. These are activities, such as to present hundreds of gifts to children of the company's workers; organize fun activities such as football, badminton, volleyball for employees; visit each lodging rooms to give gifts and money to workers suffering from accidents, serious diseases, poor families...

Dao Minh Tinh, Trade Union Chairman of TCL Vietnam Smart Electronics Co., Ltd (Tan Uyen City), said that the company's trade union is making a list of disadvantaged workers to present support money and gifts; organize a men's and women's football tournament with 16 participant teams. Especially, during Workers' Month, the company organized a trip for thousands of employees. These activities are well received by the employees.

At Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park (Tan Uyen City), many businesses actively respond to Workers' Month through activities to take care of the well-being of employees, such as opening sales of necessities at discounted prices, organizing trips for employees.

Diverse activities

Besides businesses, trade unions, mass organizations, and local authorities in the province have actively carried out many meaningful programs for employees during this Workers' Month. In Ben Cat Town, Labor Confederation of the town organized 10 consecutive activities in a month for employees. That was to coordinate with local authorities to meet with workers, listen to their thoughts and wishes. In addition, there were cultural, artistic, physical training and sports activities, giving gifts to hundreds of workers having difficult circumstances, suffering occupational accidents, etc., inviting professional to talks for employees about network security issues, black credit; organized sales with 15 booths, discounts from 30-40%/product...

Labor Confederation of Thu Dau Mot City, Thuan An City, Tan Uyen City... also simultaneously organized meaningful activities to take care of thousands of workers living in hardship. It can be said that these May days have really become a workers' festival in the province. From factories to Labor Culture Centers in the province, fun and entertainment events and dialogues with employees are simultaneously organized. It is even more meaningful when trade union's blue shirts cover alleys, lodging houses of poor, ill employees to give gifts and support.

Besides, provincial Labor Confederation and competent agencies, unions went to each enterprise and lodging room to visit and share difficulties of each situation, making workers feel so heart-warming. Thousands of valuable gifts have been delivered to employees during difficult times, making them feel warm when they have chosen Binh Duong to work and settle down.
