Many activities to aid people in the North to overcome difficulties

Super storm No. 3 and its circulation made landfall in the northern provinces, causing many losses in human lives and property. Faced with such difficulties, along with the whole country, agencies, departments, and people of Binh Duong also have many ways to express their compassionate feelings for the people of the North in practical and meaningful ways.

Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan, President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, along with leaders and officials of all levels of the Provincial Federation of Labor, provides support to people affected by natural disasters and floods in the North.

Respond to the call

Ms. Ngo Thi Xuyen, President of the Red Cross Society of Dau Tieng district, said that on September 12, some philanthropists gave donations to share difficulties with people in the North. The initial results were that the Dau Tieng District Red Cross Association received 20 million VND in cash and 20 milk cartons. In recent days, the Red Cross Association of localities in the province has received many benefactors' support for the people of the North.

Previously, on September 10, responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Red Cross Society issued an official dispatch requesting the Red Cross Societies of districts, cities and affiliated Red Cross Societies to call on cadres, members, volunteers, Red Cross youth; organizations, individuals, philanthropists and local people, units to join hands to donate resources (cash, goods) to people in the Northern provinces to help them soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and resume production.

Accordingly, the time to receive donations is from September 10, 2024, to October 30, 2024. Organizations and individuals can donate cash directly at the Binh Duong Provincial Red Cross Association Office or through the Binh Duong Provincial Red Cross Fund’s bank account. In addition to receiving cash, the Red Cross Society also receives aid in the form of goods and necessities at the Provincial Red Cross Society's humanitarian activity site (No. 104, 30-4 Street, Phu Hoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City).

Immediately after the direction of the Provincial Red Cross Society, district-level Red Cross Societies in the province also requested the Red Cross of communes, wards, towns and schools to launch this campaign in the area.

A launching ceremony to support the North will be held

According to the Standing Committee of Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, it is expected that on September 14, Binh Duong will hold a launching ceremony to give help to people affected by storm No. 3. Accordingly, the launching ceremony aims to promptly call on and mobilize all levels, branches, localities, organizations and individuals to promote the tradition of solidarity and the spirit of "mutual love" and to support people in localities that have suffered damage; encourage and motivate people, join hands with the Party Committee and government to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize life. The program aims to enhance sharing, connection, and direct support to agencies, businesses, organizations, and individuals in affected areas.

Towards the beloved North

Also, on the morning of September 12, the Provincial Federation of Labor launched a fundraising campaign to support union members, workers, and people in the Northern provinces who were severely affected by storm No. 3 and floods in recent days.

Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan, President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, called on civil servants, public employees, and workers in the provincial Trade Union organization system to join hands and wholeheartedly support union members, workers, and people in the northern provinces affected by natural disasters to uphold the spirit of national solidarity, mutual love, sharing food and clothes in times of difficulty and adversity. The Provincial Trade Union has also issued documents and open letters to mobilize funds, goods, and necessities to promptly share with our compatriots in the North.

According to the open letter of the Provincial Federation of Labor sent to all levels of Trade Unions in the province, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers will donate one-day's salary/income or more; donate clothes, notebooks, backpacks, school supplies, necessities...

Provincial Labor Federation organizes 15 locations to receive donations

In addition to sending a letter to all levels of the provincial trade union to encourage businesses, union officials, and workers to aid people affected by floods in the northern provinces, Binh Duong provincial Labor Confederation has organized 15 donation collection locations.
