In recent times, local communities in Binh Duong province have taken significant steps to build a cultural lifestyle and transform their surroundings. They have implemented various effective models and methods that emphasize the central role of the people. This has mobilized community strength to foster a cultural, civilized, and modern way of life, contributing to the development of a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.
Promote internal strength in the community
Uyen Hung is a pilot ward selected by Tan Uyen City to implement Project No. 02 of the Provincial Party Committee, which focuses on "mass mobilization efforts to foster a cultural and civilized lifestyle in the city." Based on this initiative, the Uyen Hung Ward’s Party Committee has mobilized all available social resources to carry out the project. As a result, many new models and effective practices have been enthusiastically embraced by the community, demonstrating the project's practical effectiveness.
In recent times, the locality has implemented and replicated many good and effective programs, contributing significantly to the overall development of the ward. The most prominent is the exemplary route, with 3 models including key propaganda street, smart model street and self-managed people street.
Visiting Hieu Liem commune in the North Tan Uyen district today, we observed the vibrant transformation of the area. Asphalt and concrete roads extend into every alley, and on both sides of these roads stand many spacious and impressive homes. The countryside is bright, green, clean, and beautiful. This remarkable change is due not only to support from the state budget but also to significant contributions from the community. Through their dedication and efforts, the people have given this land a prosperous appearance and created a livable rural environment.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hieu Liem commune recently reported that it has successfully mobilized funds from the community to upgrade Hieu Liem 12 road, branch 1, in Chanh Hung hamlet, with a total cost of 1.3 billion VND. Additionally, the committee collaborated with the Executive Board and the Front Work Committee of Cay Dau hamlet to encourage local residents to install five solar lights along Hieu Liem 19D road. In addition, the Commune Fatherland Front also coordinated with member organizations to carry out programs of "National Flag Route", "Supporting livelihoods of Melaleuca seedlings", "Supporting livelihoods of seedlings" and "Bright - green - clean - beautiful streets", "Sharing love"...
In its joint environmental protection initiatives, the Fatherland Front of Hieu Liem commune effectively manages three self-governing environmental protection groups, which play a significant role in addressing climate change within the hamlets. These groups regularly monitor environmental sanitation, promptly detect and report pollution incidents, and collaborate with the Commune People’s Committee to resolve environmental issues. Recently, the self-managed environmental protection groups have organized 35 clean-up campaigns, tackled spontaneous littering sites, and taken care of and trimmed trees along flower roads in residential areas, engaging over 2,150 participants.
Additionally, the Vietnam Fatherland Front places emphasis on disseminating laws, preventing crime, combating social evils, and encouraging the reporting of criminal activities. The Commune Fatherland Front has partnered with local police to establish initiatives such as "Peaceful and Civilized Parish," "Security Camera," and "Security Keychain," which facilitate the reporting and denunciation of crimes. This collaboration actively contributes to reducing social issues within the community.
Socialization of programs
To promote a civilized urban lifestyle, various initiatives have spread throughout every neighborhood and residential area. In Thanh An Commune, located in Dau Tieng District, a socialized security camera system has been introduced, receiving strong support from the community due to its positive outcomes.
According to local leaders, in hamlets of Ben Chua, Xom Moi, Co Trach, Can Giang, and Ben Tranh—which are located along a main artery of the province—economic activities are bustling and crowded. This situation can lead to potential security and order issues, including traffic safety violations and urban disorder. To address these concerns, Thanh An Commune People's Committee collaborated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and various organizations to mobilize community involvement in implementing the security camera model.
As a result, Thanh An Commune successfully installed 22 camera clusters along three routes, specifically DT744, DH711, and DH720. The total cost of the installation was 56 million VND, entirely funded through community mobilization and social contributions.
After the program was deployed, all captured image data are transmitted directly and stored on a server located at the Commune Police headquarters. This data will help manage security and order in the area. Additionally, various departments and organizations within the commune have actively encouraged residents to install 98 security cameras, which will be available to provide data upon request by the relevant authorities.
Ms. Tran Thi Nga, Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh An commune, said: “Installing security cameras in residential areas requires significant funding. With the support of local Party committees, sectors, unions, and socio-political organizations, we have effectively promoted awareness and mobilized each household. As a result, we have garnered the consensus and support of the majority of residents to work together in building a new model rural commune.
Building and implementing the "Security Camera" program in the community is essential and aligns with current development needs. Each cluster of installed cameras serves as "ears and eyes," helping local authorities better monitor incidents related to public order and safety, traffic regulation, and environmental sanitation that occur daily. This initiative significantly enhances the effectiveness of crime prevention and control while addressing security and order issues. Additionally, it fosters awareness of legal compliance and encourages a civilized lifestyle among residents, contributing to the successful achievement of socio-economic development goals in the area," Ms. Tran Thi Nga stated.
