Useful and joy activities
At Thuan An town, after launching the Week for Young Workers, youths and unionists prepared well kitchen tools to take part in cooking contest that lured as many as 21 teams from youth sub-unions and societies for young workers.
Aside from joining in the cooking contest, they enjoyed folk games lively. Nguyen Minh Hoang shared “The Week is very happy. We annually look forward to the similar activities. It is hoped that Vietnamese Workers’ Month and Week for Binh Duong Young Workers will include more significant activities”.
At Tan Uyen town, the organizing board of the Week honored 15 collectives and 21 individuals winning excellent achievements in gathering young workers; organized many contests on learning about the Road Traffic Law and so on. Meanwhile, Dat Cuoc industrial park in the North of Tan Uyen also took place folk games, legal consultancies, singing contests for young workers, cooking contests and etc.
Right after the opening ceremony of the Week for Young Workers, North Tan Uyen district also held 2 music shows at Lac An commune and the district People’s Committee. According to Nguyen Trong Nhan, secretary of North Tan Uyen district youth union, the youth union will continue to hold training classes on national defense knowledge for young workers, unionists and members and a mini football tournament for young workers.
Nguyen Tan Dat, vice head of the steering board of the Week for Young Workers cum secretary of Thu Dau Mot city youth union said that in this year’s Month for Workers, the city youth union will many useful activities for young workers. They include sport festival, singing contest for young workers, cooking contest, fashion show, especially exchange program with typical young workers and so on.
Paying attention to young workers
At Di An town, many programs and activities under the Week for Young Workers met real demand of young workers. These programs include discount goods selling, training classes on living skills, assistances for poor young workers and so on. Taking care of young workers, the town disseminated regulations relating to laborers, held job fairs and healthcare consultancies for female workers. At the opening ceremony, Di An town youth union granted 2 charity houses and 7 gifts to immigrant young workers.
In this year’s Month for workers, Thuan An town steering board mobilized sources to grant at least 50 gifts to poor young workers and called upon at least 10 lodging houses to hang dissemination postcards and to reduce lodging rooms’ price for young workers. In the other hand, Thuan An town youth union mobilized companies and proprietors of boarding houses in the localities to donate gifts to poor young workers or pledge not to increase lodging rooms’ price.
In addition, Thuan An town youth union will focus on holding activities and orientations for young workers as well as organizing training classes on skills for job interviews, IT universalization, legal and reproduction healthcare consultancies for young workers.
On this occasion, Tan Uyen town and North Tan Uyen district offered 45 gifts, each worth VND500,000 to needy young workers. Participating in the Week for Young Workers held at North Tan Uyen district, Le Ti Thu Thuy, unionist of Dat Cuoc commune youth union for immigrant young workers shared “Through the useful and lively activities, young workers’ material and spiritual life will be improved significantly”.
