Setting up entertainment areas at hamlets
In this summer, on the 10th, 20th and 30th dates of every month, Tan Thanh commune’s hamlet youth unions in Bac Tan Uyen district become lively with many summer activities organized for local children.
At hamlet 1, the hamlet youth union just held the first summer meeting, offering useful playgrounds such as folk games, painting, music and so on for local kids.
Vuong Thi Ngoc Anh, secretary of hamlet 1 youth union in Tan Thanh commune said that the youth union has about 20 youths and unionists participating in volunteer summer campaign. They in the early morning arrive at quarters to announce local children on time and location of summer meetings, so numerous local kids join in these activities.
Vo Phi Anh Toan, secretary of Tan Thanh commune youth union said that in this year activities for local children will be held in June and July to offer entertainment playgrounds for children in 6 hamlets. Aside from holding summer meetings, the commune youth union organizes painting contest and music contest and camping festival, especially spurs dissemination on seas and islands for children in hamlets.

In this summer, Dat Cuoc commune in Bac Tan Uyen district also held a festival for children with plentiful contents such as folk games, gift offering and so on.
Le Thi Thanh Thuy, secretary of Dat Cuoc commune youth union said that Dat Cuoc commune youth union focuses on spurring volunteer movements to diversify healthy playgrounds for local children. In addition, local kids in this summer enjoy many other useful activities such as painting contest, forum and exchange and so on.
Meanwhile, Bach Dang commune’s youths and unionists grant 10 gifts each worth VND300,000 to underprivileged talented children. Additionally, the commune youth union sets up a 9-member volunteer team to hold summer activities for local kids. With the theme of “For children’s happiness”, the summer activities in this year at the Bach Dang commune will include folk games, badminton, extra classes and life skills and etc.
According to Nguyen Thanh Tri, secretary of Bach Dang commune youth union, local summer activities are held at primary and secondary schools on every Wednesday. The commune youth union also organizes activities in conformity with their age. They deeds consist of planting green trees, cleaning houses and among others.
