* Morning Oct 16th, Ben Cat town Women's Union (WU) held a get-together to celebrate the 85th founding anniversary of Vietnam Women's Union (Oct 20th 1930 - Oct 20th 2015) and 5th anniversary of Vietnam Women's Day.
At the meeting, participants reviewed the tradition of VWU. The town WU has upheld achieved results, performed well emulation movements, campaigns, such as: “Women actively learn, work, create, build up happy family” combined with the movement of studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, women of 2 good “good at social affairs and home affairs”… The unit also executed many meaningful activities to take care of material and spiritual life of women, especially poor women and children.
At the meeting, municipal People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 57 union officials with outstanding achievements in the 2010-2015
* On the same day, Di An town WU held a meeting to celebrate the 85th founding anniversary of Vietnam Women's Union and a talk on women’s cultural behaviors in family and society.
The meeting happened joyfully with many art performances. On this occasion, Di An town WU conferred medals of For the development of Vietnamese women on 9 union officials; certificates of merit on 6 collectives and 13 individuals achieving high results in emulation movements.
* Morning Oct 16th, Phu Giao district WU organized a get-together for current and former female cadres as well as to commend excellent union officials in 2015.
In recent years, Phu Giao district WU and affiliates have implemented effectively emulation movements and 6 central tasks. Thereby, the union presented 3 passionate houses worth VND127 million; developed the model “Giving strength to poor women” and “A golden heart”. Activities to support lonesome older persons, poor female members, poor pupils, support poor women to develop home-based business; emulation movements were also executed well with the participation of majority women.
On this occasion, Phu Giao district WU praised 33 excellent officials in 2015, gave gifts to retired cadres and awards of “The beauty of Vietnamese women" contest.
