In order to arouse the tradition of solidarity and creativity, promote the pioneering role and sense of responsibility of the Vietnamese working class in well performing tasks on socio-economic development, especially economic recovery and development after the Covid-19 pandemic; promote the attention of the whole political system, enterprises and the whole society to activities taking care of employees, the Worker Month 2022 has been implemented by provincial Labor Union with many practical activities.
Upholding patriotic emulation spirit
Discussing the activities of the Workers’ Month 2022, Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Vice-Chairman of provincial Labor Union said: “In order to ensure the practicality of the Workers' Month in association with the Action Month for Labor Safety and Hygiene 2022 and the 136th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1), the 132nd anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, implementing activities must be in line with the actual situation of sectors, localities, units, enterprises and with the developments of the Covid-19 pandemic".

Accordingly, provincial Trade Unions at all levels have actively advised Party committees, authorities and relevant units on directing and coordinating to organize the activities of the Workers' Month 2022 and the action month for Labor Safety and Hygiene 2022, ensuring quality and effectiveness in association with the implementation of the action program to implement the resolutions of the Party congresses at all levels and Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo and guidance documents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, provincial Party Committee and Labor Union. The activities will mobilize resources from the society and employers to take care of the material and spiritual lives of unionists and employees while ensuring safety in Covid-19 prevention-control and labor safety-hygiene during the production process.
In order to promote the spirit of patriotic emulation, during the Workers' Month, provincial Labor Union has continued implementing the program of "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, being creative, determining to win the Covid-19 pandemic". Accordingly, the unit has propagandized and mobilized trade unionists, employees and trade unions at all levels to focus on showing the spirit of patriotic emulation during the current period which is solidarity, efforts to overcome difficulties, innovation, creativity, improvement of labor productivity, comprehensive and excellent completion for tasks of trade union congresses at all levels…The whole province will strive to reach 24,000 initiatives under the target of provincial Labor Union Standing Committee.
Provincial trade unions at all levels will coordinate with experts to evaluate initiatives made by workers. After being recognized by the Initiative Council or the heads of agencies, units, or enterprises, these initiatives will be updated on the Vietnam Trade Union Online Portal to attend the program at https://congdoanvietnam.org.
Many practical activities
During the Workers' Month, provincial Labor Union has held many practical emulation activities on labor safety-hygiene and celebration of Uncle Ho's birthday (May 19). Each trade union local organizes or conducts at least 1 movement, work, model, deed...with contents in line with the real situation of each unit, locality, and enterprise such as honoring trade union locals, trade unionists, enterprises, proprietors and individuals who actively support workers; praising outstanding individuals in the emulation movements of “Well working, creatively working", "Good people, good deeds", "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style"; supporting workers with difficult circumstances, those hit by labor accidents, occupational and fatal diseases; donating "Trade Union” houses, meaningful works to trade unionists; organizing cultural-art and sport activities…
Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have also coordinated with local authorities or employers to organize meetings with trade unionists and laborers for timely support. Upon actual conditions, trade union locals will advise employers on choosing appropriate forms and activities to say thanks to employees accompanying the development of enterprises, especially in tasks of Covid-19 prevention-control while maintaining production and economic development. These activities contribute to showing respect and recognition of employees as precious capital of enterprises…
According to Mrs.Tran, all practical activities organized by provincial Labor Union during the Workers' Month will contribute to encouraging the spirit of patriotic emulation and efforts in production of employees. In addition, units and enterprises will promptly commend outstanding individuals, aiming to spread and share the care of employees better in the coming time.
