Children of young workers enjoy free health check-up.
In May – Month for workers and 8th Week for provincial Young Workers 2015, localities, sectors, units and enterprises will hold activities and programs for young laborers. On this occasion, Binh Duong Newspaper’s journalists talked to Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, secretary of the provincial Youth Union about contents of these events.
Activities of Workers’ Month and the 8th Week for provincial Young Workers 2015 have been started officially. Could you tell about main purpose of these activities?
With numerous significant deeds held in Workers’ Month and the 8th Week for provincial Young Workers 2015, young workers will enjoy care and protection from trade union. In addition, these events are to raise laborers’ role, build working class in the new period, contributing to boost up local work on social welfare, helping young workers long attach to local enterprises.
What detailed activities will be held in Workers’ Month and the 8th Week for provincial Young Workers 2015, madam?
In Workers’ Month, the provincial Youth Union will host the national festival of excellent young workers 2015 and chains of activities for young workers with the program named “young workers follow Uncle Ho’s teachings”. In addition, the provincial Youth Union will steer its branches to map out plans of holding healthy playgrounds for young workers as well as annual activities such as “Happy Sunday”, music shows, gift visits, free health check-up and treatment and more.
On this occasion, the provincial Youth Union will hold visits to enterprises to mobilize them to set up youth unions at enterprises as well as encourage entrepreneurs and young intellectuals and doctors to take care of young workers.
These activities will take place at the same time on May 17 with many contents such as voluntary blood donation, health check-up and treatment, health consultancy and so on. These will be bridge connecting enterprises and mass bodies through activities for young workers.
What new features will have in Workers’ Month and the 8th Week for provincial Young Workers 2015?
In this year, the provincial Youth Union shows up models of “mobile e-library” and “cultural lodging houses”. The model of “cultural lodging houses” of Tinh Van Hoa Company is built and managed as stipulated; equipped medicine cabinet, sport ground and so on. Monthly, the provincial support center for young workers will train skills for young lodgers.
In terms of the model of “mobile e-library”, books, magazines, newspapers and 20 laptops will be offered for youths in rural areas every 4 months.
What basic goals will be set out in Workers’ Month and the 8th Week for provincial Young Workers 2015?
In this month, the provincial steering board of activities for teenagers will strive to reach some basic targets of mobilizing at least 100 enterprises to subscribe for Fund for alien young workers with especially difficult circumstances. In addition, there are numerous other useful deeds such as offering free health check-up and medicines for more than 1,000 young workers and laborers; holding job fair and introducing jobs for at least 2,000 laborers; opening free training classes on IT universalization for at least 500 youths and unionists and among others.
