This week, the whole province has held many exciting sports activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Specifically, sports tournaments, including Chinese chess, badminton, football and aerobics, were held from April 20 in Ben Cat city. Among them, two Chinese chess and badminton tournaments concluded.
Tan Uyen city’s Center for Culture - Sports and Radio also organized a series of sports, including tug of war, bag jumping, athletics, Chinese chess and boat racing. Particularly, the city’s strong boat teams, namely Thanh Hoi, Thanh Phuoc... are ready to compete in the 2025 provincial traditional boat racing tournament to be held on April 27.
Accordingly, on the morning of April 27, the 2025 provincial traditional boat race will take place at the Bach Dang River section in Phu Cuong ward, with the participation of 12 boat teams from Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong. Meanwhile, the 2025 Binh Duong New City Half Marathon will take place at the WTC Building of Binh Duong New City, starting at 5:00 a.m.
The largest and most organized event is Thu Dau Mot city, the flagship of Binh Duong sports. This locality not only organizes local sports tournaments, but also hosts the 2025 provincial Traditional Boat Racing Tournament.These days, the staff of Thu Dau Mot city’s Center for Culture, Information and Sports is quite busy with a nearly full competition schedule of the following events: basketball, Chinese chess, billiards, aerobics and martial arts performances. Up to now, basketball and Chinese chess events have finished and the remaining events will continue until the end of April.
