Currently, more than 300 volunteers of Binh Duong provincial Young Workers and Youth Supporting Center, mainly the self-employed, are participating in supporting the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic. Among these, 187 volunteers have participated in the frontline to support testing and sampling and more than 150 volunteers have participated in the fleet of trucks to transport necessities to support people who have completed quarantine to return home and to provide financial assistance to people who have completed their quarantine and rescue relief at the hospitals and the logistics.
The volunteers residing far away are supported by the provincial Young Workers and Youth Supporting Center with accommodation, logistics, and adequate meals, etc. at the center for convenience during their participation in Covid-19 prevention and control. In addition, the center regularly mobilizes businesses and benefactors to join and quickly donate necessities to disadvantaged people in the province.
Mr. Do Van Phung, Director of the provincial Young Workers and Youth Supporting Center, said that over the past time the center has maintained the carrying of thousands of gifts to support young workers to overcome the pandemic, according to which, they have supported more than 10,000 personal income with a total amount of nearly VND 5 billion. The Center has also provided timely support to 30 Youth Connection Clubs who are the core employment in enterprises.
