Market-day for workers gets aminated

The 3rd market-day for young workers in Binh Duong is taking place with many significant activities. This event contributes to taking care of the local young workers’ spiritual and material lives.

A wide range of products

So far, provincial Support Center for Young Workers has teamed up with relevant units to organize three market-days for young workers with many meaningful activities at their demand for shopping, contributing to improving their material and spiritual lives.

The 3^rd market-day for young workers in the province is taking place, absorbing nearly 100 enterprises with more than 200 booths. At the market-day, there is a wide range of products, comprising of household appliances, cosmetics, food, electronics, fine art and handicraft items… Many promotional programs are also launched by participating enterprises at the market-day.

Do Van Phung, Deputy Director of provincial Support Center for Young Workers said that the 1^st market-day for young workers in the province was organized at Vietnam-Singapore 1 Industrial Park-based Customs Control Section on August 2013. The great success of the 1^st market-day is seen as a springboard for the center to organize next market-days. 

The 3^rd market day now gets crowded with young workers. With expenditure under socialization, these market-days have actually become an ideal destination with spiritual and material benefits for young workers. They also act as a bridge between domestic enterprises and workers in response to the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign.

Useful playground for workers

Such market-days have not only helped workers have a chance to purchase essential commodities with high quality and cheap price, but also created an useful playground for them. Workers have also enjoyed a lot of significant activities such as consultancy on reproductive health, free haircut, “workers with traffic culture” festive day, folk games, art performances…from the market-days.

Participating enterprises have also awarded scholarships and gifts to the offspring of workers with difficult circumstances. At the 1^st market-day, Mobifone’s Binh Duong branch donated 30 gifts worth VND300,000 each to needy workers together with 10 scholarships to the offspring of workers with difficult circumstances in Thuan An town.

In a bid to further get involved in social charity activities, provincial Support Center for Young Workers has mobilized Honda An Thanh Enterprise to present 30 gifts worth VND300,000 each to needy young workers at the 3^rd market-day. TDC Trading and Development Joint Stock Company has also awarded 5 scholarships worth VND1mln each to the offspring of workers with difficult circumstances.

The center will further mobilize enterprises to take part in the next market-days for young workers and support those with difficulties. The annual market-days for workers in the province are expected to take place on the occasion of the annual Tet (Lunar New Year) festival and Week for Young Workers.
