Facing the complicated evolution of the Covid-19 in Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, and Hanoi, departments, branches and localities in Binh Duong province have simultaneously re-implemented measures to prevent and control the pandemic. 91 units of communes, wards and towns of the province quickly consolidated and re-opened verification teams to grasp the situation of Vietnamese citizens, who came back from business trips in epidemic areas, to monitor people's health.

To simultaneously re-implement the measures
Huynh Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Health, said Due to the emergence of infectious cases in the community in Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, and Hanoi, the provincial health authority actively cooperated with departments, branches and localities to simultaneously applied measures to prevent and control the pandemic in the new situation.
At present, localities in the province have actively re-opened verification teams to grasp the situation of provincial citizens, who came back from business trips or travelled from epidemic areas; prepared well all conditions of material facilities, protective equipment for forces on duty. In parallel with the verification and grasping of the situation, the forces are also responsible for propagation, reminding people to wear face masks in public places, regularly wash hands, taking measures to prevent and control the epidemic as recommended by the health authority.
Pham Van Bay, Vice Chairman of Di An City People's Committee, said facing the new development of the Covid-19, Di An City, which borders Ho Chi Minh City, quickly drastically carried out the prevention and control through many measures. Every day, the city has trucks running around main roads propagating by loudspeakers, sticking slogans to remind people to wear face masks, regularly clean their houses, apply preventive measures to protect health. At crossroads in markets, supermarkets, residential areas, buildings, administrative centers, functional forces give out free face masks, check body temperature.
Meanwhile, health units, district, town and city health centers have properly implemented measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 according to regulations of Ministry of Health and provincial Department of Health. Doctor Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of Bau Bang District Medical Center, said that the center established a 24-hour quick response team, had a separate isolation area, and publicize hotline of the center. The district health center also prepared sufficient medical equipment and supplies to be ready and respond quickly for suspected infections, and organized training for of medical staff in the district on diagnosis, treatment and measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 in the new situation.
To scrutinize people returning from epidemic areas
Currently, the province has many people coming back from Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi. To proactively prevent and fight against the epidemic, Mr. Huynh recommended that people monitor their health at home, proactively perform quarantine and medical declaration according to regulations to ensure safety for themselves and the community. He also asked agencies and local authorities to propagate and encourage people, officials, and workers to promptly notify of cases leaving and going from Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi for self-quarantine at home in 14 days. In particular, people need to take notice of abnormal symptoms, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath... Ths is necessary to immediately visit a medical facility for examination and take tests in accordance with regulations on disease prevention and control.
Department of Health also directed private medical examination and treatment facilities to continue strictly implementing the direction on examination, screening and control of patients. Health sector is working closely with the police, Department of Foreign Affairs and local authorities to step up patrols and control cases from epidemic zones through trails and border gates; support, receive and quarantine persons.
In addition to propagation, to actively prevent and combat epidemic, areas in the province urgently examined list of people and monitor health of people coming from Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi. For example, in My Phuoc ward (Ben Cat), to carry out the verification, the ward’s government urgently established teams to grasp the situation in their area. In addition, the teams also checked the list of families having persons traveling, returning to their hometowns in epidemic areas to monitor medical situation, promptly react as having suspected cases.
