Food poisoning is one of reasons of many deaths at developing countries. Food poisoning often occurs suddenly right after eating harmful substances. Meanwhile, customers often restore many foods, causing staleness, use poor quality foods… These are reasons causing food poisoning.

Foods with unclear origin cause poisoning easily.
On Tet holiday, symptoms of stomachache, nausea, diarrhea, dysentery, allergy… are constant signals. These symptoms are signals of food poisoning. Le Thi Kim Loan, vice head of division of Information and Poisoning Management, said there are many reasons of causing food poisoning but there are 4 categories of food poisoning: poisoning by bacteria, poisoning by stale food, poisoning by harmful food and poisoning by chemical.
Symptom of food poisoning is often diarrhea and it is over by itself. However, some cases must be treated positively, including children, elderly.
We can treat food poisoning by making patient vomit, or drinking activated carbon, after that patients need to drink sulfate magnesium or sorbitol to expel poisoning and activated carbon out of the body. Patients should drink much water to easily expel activated carbon. Next, patients should drink Oresol, orange, coconut juices after nausea or diarrhea.
However, food poisoning can prevent easily. To prevent food poisoning on Tet holiday, everyone should keep food hygiene by using boiled water, safe foods with clear origin and so on.
Excelling sanitation of eating and drinking is a simple measure in preventing food poisoning.
