Medical sector makes an important contribution to the good implementation of the "dual goal"

On occasion of the 67th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27th 1955 - February 27th 2022), on the afternoon of Feb 25, provincial Department of Health held a conference to sum up medical work in 2021, to celebrate Vietnamese Doctors' Day, and commended exemplary medical staff in the Covid-19 prevention and control work. The conference had the participation of Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly's Delegation; leaders of Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, representatives of the Ministry of Health and doctors.

Speaking at the conference, Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of Provincial Department of Health, said: "The medical profession is a noble profession. During the fourth covid-19 wave, medical sector faced many unprecedented difficulties. Among these many difficulties and challenges, there were sacrifices and losses, but along with relief forces inside and outside the province, medical staff turned pains into actions, did all things, regardless of day or night, made many efforts and determination to prevent and fight the pandemic, protect the health and life of people".

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, appreciated the efforts and contributions of doctors and nurses, frontline forces, making an important contribution to fighting the pandemic and facilitating socio-economic development under the motto of "adapting safely and flexibly, effectively controlling the Covid-19".

On this occasion, 7 individuals received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister; Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives and 10 individuals excellently completing tasks in 2021... Also at the conference, medical workers contributed VND50 million to the Fund for the Poor.
