Early May 4, Phu Giao district’s People’s Committee held a provincial-level meeting in response to the 2018 National Week on Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene. Attending the event were Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; leaders of sectors, departments in the province and of the district together with 700 youths, people and armed force and in the district.
As of late 2017, there were 99% and 97% of households in the rural region of the province in use of clean water and hygienic toilets, respectively; 88% of breeding facilities with waste treatment systems…
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Dung called for all people to actively take action, aiming to raise the responsibility and awareness of the local authorities at all levels about the importance of clean water supply and environmental hygiene.
After the ceremony, 400 people took part in a parade on propaganda of environmental hygiene on the district’s main streets. There were also nearly 300 people making environmental hygiene in resettlement areas and on main streets of the district.
