In the afternoon of May 17, the provincial People's Committee held a meeting of scientists on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day of May 18. Attending the meeting were Mr. Dang Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, scientists inside and outside the province.
The overview of the meeting
In recognition of the contributions of the science and technology industry, the National Assembly passed the Law on Science and Technology in 2013 and took the annual 18-5 as the Vietnamese science and technology day. This is a festival to honor scientific people, introduce the results of scientific research and technological development, promoting the application of science and technology into production. In the past, Binh Duong science and technology industry has made many contributions to the province's socio-economic development and implemented the project of building a smart city of Binh Duong. In addition, scientists have made many proposals, offering solutions to help Binh Duong solve pressing issues in the fields. At the meeting, scientists also presented presentations, as well as shared and proposed solutions to promote socio-economy, and implemented a project to build a smart city of Binh Duong and create Innovative startup platform.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Dang Minh Hung acknowledged, thanked and praised the great contributions of scientists, scientists in and outside the province for the province's socio-economic development in the past time. He hoped that scientists would continue to cooperate, contribute and offer solutions, suggesting to help Binh Duong build a smart city.
