On the morning of June 13, Mrs. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Council, presided over a meeting for provincial leaders with a delegation of Vietnamese students studying in Singapore, who are participating in the Green Summer campaign "Building Dreams, Building Ambitions" in 2025.
At the event, the representative of the Vietnamese Student Association in Singapore presented an overview of the organization. During the 2023-2024 academic year, the association was awarded a certificate of merit and an excellent emulation flag, achieving 2nd place among 15 overseas student associations. Currently, over 10,000 Vietnamese students are pursuing their studies in Singapore, encompassing all educational levels from high school to university and postgraduate programs. In the Green Summer campaign titled "Building Dreams, Building Ambitions" in 2025, 25 student members from Singapore, along with the provincial student association, engaged in numerous impactful volunteer activities.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong emphasized that the province is committed to supporting and facilitating the volunteer initiatives of the Vietnam Student Association in Singapore, ensuring they are conducted effectively, safely, and successfully. She also expressed her hope that following the program, the students will extend their involvement beyond short-term activities and continue to contribute as engaged members. Regardless of their location, Vietnamese students serve as goodwill ambassadors, playing a vital role in fostering a positive image of Vietnamese youth on the international stage.
