Meeting with workers to understand them
Before becoming a leader of Dau Tieng rubber company, Le Van Khoa worked as a secretary of the company trade union, after that as vice chairman and chairman. Khoa added that when he was the chairman of the company trade union, he organized a meeting with workers. At the meeting, many workers raised their ideas and petitions and he recorded carefully all their petitions to submit the company directorate for solving in details and adjusting some unreasonable things. Meeting with workers has been constantly maintained at the company.
Taking care and attaching to laborers are always the motto of Dau Tieng Rubber Company. In the early years of 1990s, though the company adequately implemented policies as stipulated, workers still faced difficulties in accommodation.
Facing this status, the company directorate set up a steering board of poverty reduction under the leadership of Le Van Khoa. Aside from offering loans for needy rubber workers, the company facilitated laborers’ housing construction. From 1994 to 1996, the company eliminated nearly 3,500 bamboo houses as well as invested in fields of healthcare, education, culture, sport, serving well for laborers’ life and helping them attach long to the company.
Sharing difficulties with workers
In the recent years, rubber industry continues facing difficulties. And, Dau Tieng Rubber Company encounters obstacles of poor productivity, output and low price. These elements impact badly on the company’s production and business. Despite these difficulties, the company manages to adequately implement policies for laborers.
In addition, the company trade union holds meetings with workers to disseminate and mobilize them feel secure in work. “We understand the company’s difficulties, so we determine to complete tasks and plans in 2014”, Nguyen Thai Hiep, worker of Long Nguyen rubber plantation shared.
Dau Tieng Rubber Company trade union chairman Nguyen Van Minh said that facing common obstacles, the company trade union holds many activities and emulation movements and cultural festivals to take care of laborers’ spiritual and material laborers, contributing to encourage cadres, laborers to attach long to the company.
“We also hope that workers will understand the company’s difficulties to help the company directorate overcome difficulties to finalized the set plans”, Minh revealed.
In the current difficult period, it is obvious that meeting with workers should be held constantly to grasp their aspiration. This will help trade union cadres encourage laborers attach long to enterprises.
