Joy in health check-up trips
The first international volunteer journey of Binh Duong youths just ended after 4 days at Chamapsak province, Laos. Overcoming more than 700km, Binh Duong youths arrived in Champasak, the Northern province of Laos at sunset. Enjoying warm welcome from Dau Tieng Viet-Lao rubber company at Ba Chiang district, 33 members of the provincial delegation were ready to start concrete deeds of the voluntary journey.
Right from early morning of Oct. 22, the delegation members were presented at Dau Tieng Viet-Lao rubber company’s plantation to offer free health check-ups and medicines and other essential foods for local residents.
Thanks to thorough cooperation between the provincial Youth Union, Club for Young Doctors, provincial Society for Young Entrepreneurs and Dau Tieng rubber company, all preparations for the international voluntary journey gained good results.
Don Sa Ban Khon Sa Ban, worker of Dau Tieng Viet-Lao rubber company said “I feel very happy to enjoy free health check-ups and medicines and gifts”.
Ba Chiang district of Champasak province is the poor locality where the poor account for half of Laos’ population. Despite barrier of language, smile and eye of local people seemed to be thanks for Binh Duong youths.
Friendship filled deeds
The voluntary journey took place amid Lao had held the national funeral after the plane crash at Chapasak province.
To mark breakthroughs and put foundations for the subsequent activities, Binh Duong provincial youth union and Champasak provincial youth union inked an MoU on friendship.
Accordingly, Binh Duong provincial youth union will constantly hold charity activities to the locality through health check-ups, gift visits, cultivation and breeding technique transfers, exchanges. Champasak provincial youth union secretary U Dom Sak Dyvicxai extended thanks to the Binh Duong provincial outh union delegation and said that the significant deeds will contribute to raise friendship between the two provinces in particular and two nations in general.
Possibly speaking, this journey cemented friendship between Bih Duong and Champasack provinces in particular and Vietnam and Laos in general.
