The provincial People’s Committee yesterday held a ceremony to grant the titles of “Meritorious Artist” to local 4 individuals. At the ceremony, individuals including Ly Ngoc Minh – porcelain artist in Hung Dinh ward, Thuan An town; Ly Ngoc Bach – porcelain artist in Hung Dinh ward, Thuan An town; Nguyen Huu Sang – lacquer artist in Phu Cuong ward, Thu Dau Mot city and Tran Van Khiem – wood sculpture artist in Tuong Binh Hiep ward, Thu Dau Mot city were awarded the titles of Meritorious Artist. These artists have made great contributions to preserving and developing local traditional craft villages.
Addressing the ceremony, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Thanh Liem highly appreciated these artists’ contributions in preserving and developing local traditional craft trades. In addition, he expressed his hope that these artists would continue to make unique and distinctive products in the coming time.
