Mid-Autumn fest in warm affection

Mid-Autumn festival is also called the Children’s festival. On these days, millions of children across the country have been very animated with Mid-Autumn fest celebrations. In southern Binh Duong province, the local Party, authorities at all levels, organizations, families, businesses and donors have paid more attention to disadvantaged children, helping them enjoy a joyful Mid-Autumn fest.

Many sectors and donors in the provinces visited and organized Mid-Autumn fest celebrations for children living in Thuan An Unity Group’s Compassion House. Priest Nguyen Van Minh, chairman of provincial Committee for Catholic Solidarity said: “The compassion house will organize a full-moon festival with many interesting activities for 70 orphans herein and more than 300 local children on the evening of August 14 of the lunar calendar…This will also the chance for the compassion house’s orphans to meet and exchange with students and many other children…”.

 

More than 600 children living in Bo De Dao Trang pagoda’s Center for the Lonely Elderly and Orphans and many other disadvantaged children in Thai Hoa, Binh Chuan communes and Tan Phuoc Khanh township gathered for the Mid-Autumn fest held by Bo De Dao Trang pagoda on the morning of Sept.19. After enjoying art performances, they were presented Mid-Autumn gifts, including lanterns, moon-cakes, toys, raincoats, soft drink…

 

Prior to that, on Sept.15, a delegation of provincial leaders, led by provincial Fatherland Front Committee Chairwoman Dao Ngoc Nu, visited and presented 443 Mid-Autumn gifts to children living in province-based social support centers. Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, on Sept.16, received and allocated 3,000 Mid-Autumn gifts given by province-based Taiwan Business Association to districts and town to offer them for children.

 

Provincial vice-chairman Huynh Van Nhi yesterday also visited and presented hundreds of Mid-Autumn gifts to disadvantaged children living in province-based social support centers and vocational training facilities for the disabled. Many other Mid-Autumn fest celebrations for disadvantaged children will be also further organized by province-based social support centers…
