On the 66th anniversary of People’s Armed Force, an exchange meeting took place at HCMC on Aug.17. At the ceremony, the Ministry of Public Security granted nearly 100 gifts to about 100 anti-crime knights.
Major-general Nguyen Dinh Thuan, head of Bureau of “all people protect national security” movement said that honored police officers have contributed to public order and security maintenance. They are really knights in hearts of the public.

At the exchange, 3 knights representing tens of anti-crime clubs in Binh Duong province were invited to join in the exchange firstly. They included Nguyen Thanh Hai, head of Phu Hoa ward anti-crime team, Tran Hoang Anh, head of Hiep Thanh ward anti-crime team and Ha Van Thanh, head of Phu Hoa ward Public Security.
According to Hai, since 1997, Phu Hoa ward anti-crime team has arrested more than 1,000 crimes and repaid over 100 motorbikes and assets for many victims.
There are many other typical examples, representing thousands of typical collectives and individuals across the country at the ceremony.
Lieutenant-general Le Quy Vuong, vice minister of the Public Security Ministry, said some Southern localities such as Binh Duong, HCMC and Vinh Long have created anti-crime models with outstanding achievements, helping encourage the entire society to join in anti-crime movements.
“To further uphold role of the public, policemen across localities should excel consultancy to help promote general strength against crimes as well as set out plans to encourage outstanding knights timely and set up anti-crime models for social order and security”, added Vuong.
