Early November 1, TDM city’s Party Committee for Party and Mass Organizations Bloc held a ceremony to launch a program raising fund for flood victims in the central region.
At the ceremony, the Bloc’s Party Committee approved an appeal of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee on supporting flood victims in the central region while calling for officials, Party members and public servants to share difficulties with the victims. Each official and public servant took part in contributing at least one day’s salary to support the victims.
The city’s Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations will make dissemination of information about the consequences of recent floods in the central region among officials, members and people from all strata so that they join hands to support flood victims in the region.
*As of November 2, Thuan An town’s Fatherland Front Committee Office received more than VND90million as relief aid for flood victims in the central region from economic organizations, donors. Of the total figure, VND50million was contributed by Ngoi Sao Woodwork Processing Co.Ltd.; more than VND20million by Thuan An town’s Youth Union; VND10million by Lai Thieu ward’s Fatherland Front Committee; VND5million by the Liaison Committee of Chinese community; VND4million by An Phu ward’s Fatherland Front Committee…
Economic organizations, donors in and out of the town continue supporting the victims, helping them soon stabilize their lives.
*From October 25 to 30, Tan Uyen town’s Red Cross Society mobilized donors to organize a trip giving relief aid for flood victims in Minh Hoa district’s 4 communes of Thuong Hoa, Tan Hoa, Minh Hoa and Xuan Hoa in the central province of Quang Binh.
In the visiting places, the delegation extended best regards to flood victims and encouraging them to surmount difficulties in order to soon stabilize their lives. The delegation also donated 1,000 gifts worth VND500million, comprising of instant noodle, cooking oil, sugar, seasoning powder, soya sauce and cash, to the victims.
