Early April 19, the Red Cross Society of Tan Binh ward in Di An city offered 320 gifts worth VND64million, comprising rice and instant noodles, to 109 lottery ticket vendors, 100 young workers at lodging facilities, lonely elderly people.
Among the above gifts, 300 were funded by Nguyen Thi Be in Tan Binh ward’s Tan Phuoc quarter. The amount of rice from the program came from the “Beloved meal” program launched by the ward’s Red Cross Society.
*Lai Thieu ward in Thuan An city, on April 17 and 19, held a delegation to visit and offer 200 gifts worth VND400,000 each to poor and near-poor households under the province’s poverty line.
Prior to that, the People’s Committee of the ward handed over 300 gifts worth VND500,000 each to quarters in order to deliver them to needy households. As of now, the ward has presented 500 gifts worth VND200million to people affected by Covid-19 pandemic, including 166 lottery ticket vendors.
*The People’s Committee of Binh Hoa ward in Thuan An city has just given 124 gifts worth VND25million for the local needy households.
These gifts were funded by donors, offering help to needy people during the nationwide social distancing period for Covid-19 prevention.
*Early April 19, the Youth Union of Tan Phuoc Khanh ward in Tan Uyen town visited and offered 18 gifts worth VND200,000 each plus 2 anti-bacterial masks to needy young workers together with 1 gift worth VND500,000 each to a needy child. After the event, representative of the ward’s Youth Union visited households in quarter 1, Khanh Loc quarter to propagandize and guide people to make medical declaration for Covid-19 prevention.
