More than 1 billion 199 million VND donated to Gratitude Fund

As implementing Plan No. 3867/KH-UBND dated July 22, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on calling for contributions to the Repaying Gratitude Fund on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), on July 23, 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province issued a letter calling for support for the Repaying Gratitude Fund. As of October 28, 2024, the Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs had received more than 1 billion 199 million VND donated by 120 agencies and units in the province to the Fund.

Binh Duong province currently has over 65,000 people recognized and receiving preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the revolution. In recent months, Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, unions, socio-economic organizations and people in the province have enthusiastically responded to gratitude activities. These activities have contributed to providing material and spiritual support to war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions, reducing difficulties and improving both material and spiritual conditions.

However, currently, Binh Duong province has some meritorious people facing economic difficulties, difficulties with living conditions, medical treatment, and children's education, especially in rural areas, who are in dire need of support from the State, the business community, and philanthropists. The money donated to the fund will help the Party and State to effectively implement preferential policies for war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions.
