In order to improve the quality of human resources in the health sector, in the morning of March 20, Binh Duong province held a ceremony to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on training health human resources with Hanoi Medical University. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.
As reported by the Department of Health, currently, the human resources of the public health sector are lacking in both quantity and quality of specialized specialties, especially the medical team and doctors at the grassroots who have not met the needs of medical examination and treatment in a timely manner. When people are seriously ill, most of them go to big hospitals in Ho Chi Minh city for medical examination and treatment. Although the province offers policies to treat and attract medical staff, the income disparity between domestic and non-public healthcare is still high.
According to the MOU on cooperation in training, Hanoi Medical University will support focused training according to university-level certificates of doctors, nurses, midwives, specialized doctors, hospital resident doctors, master's and doctorate degrees. In particular, Hanoi Medical University continuously trains clinical practice certificates, technology transfer of Telehealth application, and implement special short-term academic projects or programs to support capacity-building activities for health workers.
