In the afternoon of August 25, the delegation of the provincial Party Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the CPV Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Head of the provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, had a meeting to check the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in Tan Uyen town.
Briefly reporting to the delegation, Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi, Chairman of the People's Committee, Standing Deputy of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control in Tan Uyen town, said that by the morning of August 25, the town had recorded 21,530 cases of F0; the number of cured cases has been nearly 4,000 people; the number of hospitalizations was 4,733 and there were 100 deaths. Currently, the town has 3,298 F0 patients who are in concentrated quarantine and treated in quarantine areas. The town is focusing on testing to promptly separate F0 from the community.

In addition to focusing on testing to extract F0 from the community, Tan Uyen town also completed the Covid-19 vaccination with 46,984 out of distributed 50,000 doses of AstraZeneca. Up to now, the town has injected 104,493 people, of which, the first dose has been on 102,351 people, and the second dose is on 2,142 people. Implementing the plan of "locking, freezing" in 7 wards in the area, the town has strengthened 676 checkpoints and blocked areas for Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control established by communes and wards with 2,517 participants.
The town currently has 26 quarantine wards with 6,730 beds and has used up the full capacity of the hospital beds. The locality is urgently preparing conditions to put into operation two treatment areas with 4,600 beds. The town has established 5 "green zones", "yellow zones" and 7 "red zones" are being focused on "greening" with the goal of striving to return to the "new normal state" from September 1.
Reporting further to the delegation, Mr. Doan Hong Tuoi said that in the spirit of not letting any people be hungry, the town is currently concentrating forces to ensure food and food supply for people in the areas under "locking and freezing" to ensure adequate supply of essential goods and foodstuffs to serve the people with available plans for transportation and distribution of goods to people.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Loi requested that in addition to the work of circling and implementing "locking and freezing" in 7 wards in the area, the remaining localities of the town must continue to strictly implement social distancing according to Directive No. 16 of the Prime Minister. We need to focus on supporting people who are in difficulty due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Tan Uyen Town needs to prepare a plan to have 30,000 F0 cases to actively handle the situation in the spirit of "4 on the spot", in which, attention should be paid to promote the strength of local forces. The town needs to mobilize youth union members, workers, and students to participate in the work of taking samples for testing and data entry.
The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee also requested that Tan Uyen town need to pilot the sampling of people with negative results to be vaccinated against Covid-19 so that people do not have to go back and forth many times, which is a waste of time as well as great risk of Covid-19 transmission. The town needs to strengthen the priority vaccination for the "red zones". The work of testing and vaccination needs to be done wherever it is without spreading the forces. The town also needs to prepare a treatment plan for F0 at home, especially for young F0 cases, to promote the role of mobile medical stations to effectively carry out the treatment of F0..
Within the framework of the program of inspecting and working in Tan Uyen Town, the delegation of the provincial Party Committee visited and encouraged officials, employees, nurses and doctors at the Medical Center of Tan Uyen town, Military Command of Tan Uyen town, and Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center.
