North Tan Uyen district’s Steering Board for Drugs, Prostitution, AIDS and Human Trafficking Prevention (or briefly called the Steering Board 138), on June 22, held a ceremony to launch the National Day against Drug Abuse (June 26).
At the ceremony, the district’s Steering Board 138 called for authorities at all levels, mass organizations and people from all strata to have a close coordination in the fight against drugs with high determination.
The district also teamed up with provincial Cultural Center to organize propaganda activities against drugs through a sketch named “Ngot mat chet ruoi” (It is easier to catch flies with honey than with vinegar), a contest for flower-decorated trucks with propaganda against drugs.
After the ceremony, the district’s Steering Board 138 organized a parade propagandizing the National Anti-Drug Day with the participation of 10 flower-decorated trucks from 10 communes in the district…
The local authorities at all levels effectively took measures against drugs and reached important results over the past time. In the first half of 2015, they discovered 15 drug-related cases with 20 offenders, seized 3.13 grams of heroin and 3.67 grams of synthetic drugs from them; investigated and imposed administrative punishment on 8 cases with 17 wrongdoers…
