Early October 12, in Ha Noi City was an online conference to evaluate planting results of woods to substitute the woodland used for other purposes.
Hoang Trung Hai, the Deputy Prime Minister, Cao Duc Phat, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development chaired the conference with participation of representatives from 55 provinces and cities nationwide. At Binh Duong end of the online conference, Mai Hung Dung, the Deputy Chair of Provincial People’s Committee attended the conference.
As reported by Binh Duong Provincial Forestry Control Department, 4 cases of changing woodland use to other usage within Tan Uyen Town and Bac Tan Uyen District regarding the area of 8.35 hectares have been resolved sinced 2009. It is expected that 0.59 hectares of woods will be replanted to replace those areas occupied by the 110kV Uyen Hung-Dat Cuoc grid line project.
Besides, Binh Duong Province has proposed regulations on guidance of detail criteria and conditions for changing the natural woodland into other usage in a bid to maintain the sustainability of woodland resources.
