National high school exam 2019 concludes safely, seriously in accordance with regulations

The national high school exam 2019 has ended. During 3 exam days, Binh Duong province well organized exam works, from preparation of material facilities to invigilation, ensuring social order and security, traffic safety... at testing sites. As for the contestants, with the spirit of studiousness and the care of teachers, parents and the whole society, they completed the most important exam of their lives.

Regulations are well implemented

Before each test, invigilators reminded contestants of coming to exam rooms on time, 6.30am in the morning, and 1.30pm in the afternoon. Besides, exam officials heightened student’s awareness of strictly abiding by exam regulations that have popularized many times before. Nguyen Van Dinh, Head of testing site No.01 at Hung Vuong Gifted High School (Thu Dau Mot City), reminded again and again contestants of bringing their exam cards and ID cards in order not to affect their exam.

Leaders of Department of Education and Training and leaders of Banking University check testing sites.

Lecturer Cam Phu, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University, an invigilator at testing site My Phuoc Secondary School (Ben Cat Town), assessed that students there were very good, strictly abided by rules when entering exam rooms. She really loved Binh Duong people after this exam. Indeed, looking from outside testing sites, these schools were very quiet. Parents took their children orderly, most of them return home and only came back to pick up their children when the tests ended. That was a good trait of Binh Duong people through many exam seasons.

The success of national high school exam 2019 in Binh Duong also has the active participation of relevant departments and agencies, People's Committees of districts, towns, city, and localities. During the 3 exam days, there were forces of police, traffic police, militia, and young pioneers at intersections, on roads leading to, and at the front of testing places to jointly control and protect public security and traffic safety. Therefore, there was no traffic congestion, helping contestants come to testing places on time.

To assist contestants

In national high school exam seasons, there is always the appearance of green shirts of young volunteers. Similarly, this year, Youth Union of districts, towns, and city arranged volunteer teams to support contestants in front of each testing site. They were youth union members and students from universities and colleges in the province. Their job was to deliver free drinking water, guide, and help contestants when they had problems. How beautiful it was with the image of young volunteers to cheer, motivate contestants before and after exam time, or carry contestants as their motorbike unfortunately broke down.

Ngo Thoi Nhiem High School has shuttle bus to carry contestants to the exam.

Nguyen Tuan Anh, Head of Volunteer Group of Binh Duong University shared, his group had 12 students as volunteers and was present at An My High School (Thu Dau Mot City). “We passed this exam, so we understand the feeling of contestants now. What we want to share with contestants is not only free bottles of drinking water, but also want to create a comfortable feeling for them. Many contestants came to testing site early, but they were still in a hurry, so we explain to them to make them feel more comfortable. Besides, my group also painted some pictures with encouraging words so that contestants could see and feel our companionship during their exam... ”

In order to motivate students, schools having contestants also sent teachers to go with their students. Le Thi Van, teacher of Binh Phu High School (Thu Dau Mot City), said that at testing site No.04, Binh Phu High School had 10 contestants, so the school sent 2 teachers to help them in emergency situations, and remind and encourage their students during the exam. "Before going to the exam, the school and their teacher advised, reminded students many times to go early, calm down to do the tests, read questions carefully, check and review their paper many times after finishing, and sleep, eat well to prepare for the exam. The school sent 2 teachers to accompany students to their testing site to encourage them before and after the exam”.

At Tan Phuoc Khanh High School (Tan Uyen town) testing site, Nguyen Thi Lieu, a teacher of Le Loi High School (North Tan Uyen district) and another teacher also accompanied 50 students in 3 exam days. Because the school was quite far from the testing site, parents' association organized a coach to carry students to the exam. After the exam, the teachers and their students gathered together, smiled together, and dispelled stressful moments. After that, the teacher took students to lunch and rested to prepare for the exam in the afternoon.

For national high school exam 2019, Binh Duong organized 21 testing sites in districts, towns and cities, except North Tan Uyen district. Many districts and towns have high schools, but Department of Education and Training only selected schools with guaranteed material facilities for the exam, some contestants had to travel to other schools to do the tests. Thus schools organized shuttle buses during 3 exam days to pick up and take students to. Primary and secondary schools near testing sites also arranged spaces for contestants and their family to rest after morning exam hours.

The national high school exam 2019 closed, then Examination Council started working, expected to announce the results on July 15. A new thing this year is Ministry of Education and Training assigned universities to participate in multiple-choice test assessment. In Binh Duong, Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City was in charge of assessing multiple-choice tests, Department of Education and Training marked literature essays. On that basis, about 100 high school teachers participated in the examination and 20 officials reassessed literature essays.
