According to the People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district, the district, in the past year, has issued many guiding documents and implementation plans in the field of environmental resources - minerals, and implemented many activities to protect environmental resources in the district.
Accordingly, the district has planted landmarks for 9 out of 12 river and stream routes in the area to protect water sources, with a total length of 124 out of 136.7km for a total of 723 landmarks; the district has handed over the documents and boundary markers in the field to the commune-level People's Committees for management according to regulations and is currently getting on to implement for the remaining 3 routes. In the coming time, the district will complete the work of planting landmarks on the source protection corridor and strengthen inspection of the observance of the laws on land, environment and minerals. It will also promote propaganda to further raise people's awareness, especially in the collection and treatment of domestic wastes, solid wastes, and hazardous wastes. It is known that in January 2022, the inspection of the observance of the law on natural resources and environment on 9 units has detected and administratively sanctioned 5 cases at a total fine of more than VND 53 million VND while 3 cases are being inspected.
