July 15, Mrs. Truong Thi Mai, Member of Central Committee of CPV and Director of Social Issues Committee of National Assembly, Mrs. Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, Member of Central Committee of CPV and Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and leaders of Ministry of Finance and Vietnam Social Insurance had a working session with local Department of Social Insurance on the implementation of social policies in the province (in photo).
The department of 424 staffs is managing nearly 1.4 million medical insurance participants, accounting for 74% of the provincial population. Over 770,000 working people, accounting for about 65% of working population, have just joined up social and medical insurance policies, 98% of which are volunteer insurance participation.

Binh Duong Provincial Department of Social Insurance is managing over 20,000 pensioned and social insured persons with contract for health service at 58 clinics.
For the time, Binh Duong Provincial Department of Social Insurance have well implemented the mechanism and policies of insurance, particularly the premium collection and service payments timely for everyone. At the working session, leaders of Binh Duong Provincial Department of Social Insurance have proposed to the State for obstacle removal in operation management. Accordingly, working position should be identified on the basis of some criteria for suitable employment of the locality, institutionalizing salary payment by 1.8 times as well as added salary among special supporting policies.
Addressing the working session, Mrs. Truong Thi Mai, Member of Central Committee of CPV and Director of Social Issues Committee of National Assembly is hopeful that Binh Duong Provincial Department of Social Insurance would continue to promote its role in encouraging the whole public to join social insurance which is offered with effective and timely social insurance payments. In the meantime, the proposals of Binh Duong Provincial Department of Social Insurance are taken into consideration for further planning and adjustment of social insurance policies for the time to come.
