Nearly 2,300 athletes attend Phu Dong Sports Festival of Phu Giao district

The Phu Giao District Phu Dong Sports Festival for the 2024-2025 school year will take place from November 8 to December 29. Athletes will compete in 10 sports disciplines for three educational levels of primary school, middle school, and high school.

According to the proposed plan, there will be 2,256 athletes from 23 units, including 15 units from the primary school level and 8 units from the middle and high school levels, competing in various sports, including: football, volleyball, basketball, swimming, badminton, shuttlecock, table tennis, athletics, chess, and tug of war for the middle school level. Specifically, for the primary school level, 6 sports will be organized, including: mini football, shuttlecock, swimming, table tennis, athletics, and chess.

Currently, the mini football tournament for elementary schools has concluded with the first prize going to Phuoc Hoa A Elementary School; the second prize was awarded to Phuoc Vinh A Elementary School; and Phuoc Vinh Elementary School secured third place overall. The remaining competitions at both levels will continue to be held until December 29, 2024. At the end of the Phu Giao District Physical Education Festival for the 2024-2025 school year, the organizing committee will select the most outstanding athletes to represent them at the provincial Physical Education Festival taking place in March 2025.
