On Feb. 5, the provincial social insurance marked the 20th founding anniversary of Vietnam Social Insurance and reviewed its operation 2014 and launched task for 2015 with the participation of Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
As of Dec. 31, 2014, the entire province had nearly 767,000 people joining in compulsory social insurance, 2,229 in voluntary social insurance, 748,803 in voluntary insurance, 1,398,804 in health insurance.
In the past year, the provincial social insurance solved 1,127,226 applications of social insurance allowance and paid monthly allowance of social insurance via post office for 18,536 people.
In 2015, the provincial social insurance will expand the number of participants of social insurance. Accordingly, 800,000 people will join in compulsory health and social insurance and 1,498,085 others have health insurance cards, rate of laborers joining in voluntary insurance reaches over 97% and more.
Addressing the meeting, Tran Thanh Liem noted that the provincial Social Insurance in 2015 should launch further policies and allowances of social and health insurance, spur inspection on implementation of health and social insurance at enterprises.
On this occasion, the provincial Social Insurance’s Finance and Planning Department and Le Quang Doan, former vice director of the provincial Social Insurance were awarded the third class Labor Orders while one collective and 4 individuals were granted merit certificates from the Prime Minister. In addition, Vietname Social Insurance donated merit certificates to 3 workgroups and 6 individuals of the local Social Insurance.
