Late Dec.13, TDM town’s Red Cross Society forwarded a conference to sum up its activities in 2011 and award scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils.
The town’s Red Cross Society and its affiliates last year continued effectively developing many models of “Tet for the poor”, “Charity rice jar”…with a total expense of VND3.3bln, offering help to 18,000 cases. They also paid attention to public healthcare. The whole town now has 126 first-aid posts with 319 members; 13 firs-aid motorbike groups with 186 members…The total expense for the society’s healthcare task in 2011 was VND1.6bln, helping 85,600 turns of people.
On this occasion, the town’s Red Cross Society awarded 15 mementoes to individuals for their excellent performance in 2011; mobilized Prudential Vietnam and Binh Duong Daily to award 40 scholarships worth VND20mln to poor-but-excellent pupils.
