Late July 1, provincial Committee for Cultural and Social Affairs forwarded a meeting to verify the contents of a report on the local socio-economic performance in the first half of 2015; a draft report of the Resolution on giving support to buying health insurance for population-family planning collaborators in the province between 2016 and 2020 to submit them to the 16th session of the 8th provincial People’s Council. Nguyen Minh Giao, Head of provincial Commission for Propaganda and Education cum Head of provincial Committee for Cultural and Social Affairs presided over the meeting.
In the first half of the year, the province’s educational material facilities were expanded with the number of public schools built with storeys increasing by 21 compared to 2014’s same period. The local public healthcare was also ensured. Besides, the province spent nearly VND490bln (including VND247bln from State budget) on taking care of social policy beneficiaries on Tet and great holidays; built and upgraded gratitude, “great unity” houses…Many cultural-sports activities were organized during the period at locals’ cultural-sports demand.
Concluding the meeting, Mr.Giao said that provincial Committee for Cultural and Social Affairs acknowledged ideas by delegates and would add them into the above reports in order to submit to the 16th session of the 8th provincial People’s Council.
