In 2018, Binh Duong province has spent nearly VND700billion on environmental projects.
The South Binh Duong waste treatment complex project, one of the local environmental projects with great capital has been put into operation. The project comprises of 2 phases with total investment of US$30.5million (including ODA loan and corresponding fund from the local State budget), contributing to ensuring the local sustainable socio-economic development.
Till now, the whole province has had 72 out of 93 waste resources with automobile surveillance systems, helping control over 78% of the amount of industrial waste. 268 out of 269 facilities in the local list of facilities causing serious environmental pollution have fulfilled a task of improving their environmental pollution causing situation.
Binh Duong is striving to reach a goal of becoming a modern industrial locality and is a first-class city by 2020. This is seen as the basic for the province to carry out projects on environment, aiming to enhance environmental criteria of a first-class city.
