Early June 5, provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to open new Ong Co bridge. Attending the event were Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with delegates and locals.
Ong Co bridge connects Nguyen Chi Thanh street with DT744 street through TDM city to Dau Tieng. It also connects TDM city’s Hiep An, Tan An wards and Ben Cat town’s Phu An commune.

The new Ong Co bridge project is divided into two phases. In the first phase, a new bridge will be built next to the old Ong Co bridge. The old bridge will be dismounted while another bridge will be constructed in the second phase. Thus, there will be two new bridges operating in parallel.
Accordingly, the new Ong Co bridge project in the first phase is 1,021m long and 10.5 m wide with two lanes. The work’s total investment capital is VND280.63bln from State budget.
Addressing the ceremony, Mr.Liem said that the birth of the new Ong Co bridge would be seen as a synchronous traffic connection between TDM city, Ben Cat town and Dau Tieng district, creating trade connection with Tay Ninh province and promoting the local tourism development.
He also suggested that provincial Construction Projects Management Board needed to closely coordinate with leaders of the localities to remove queries to be able to soon remaining items of the DT744 street project, contributing to promoting the local economic development.
