*Ben Cat town: In July, Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society mobilized a delegation of provincial General Hospital to provide free medical check-ups and medicine for 200 patients with a total expense of more than VND20mln.
Private medical facilities across the society were also mobilized to provide free medical check-ups and treatment for more than 350 people with a total expense of more than VND14mln.
*Tan Uyen town: Early August 15, the Red Cross Society of Tan Hiep ward in Tan Uyen town presented 38 gifts worth VND200,000 each, comprising of rice, instant noodle and soya-sauce, to near-poor households and other needy people. These gifts were funded by Tran Kim Tai residing in Tan Hiep ward’s Tan Binh quarter.
*Dau Tieng district: So far, residents in Dinh Hiep commune have voluntarily contributed more than VND3bln to making 6,126 meters of rural roads. Of these, more than VND1.5bln was mobilized to build 3,126 meters of rural roads in 2013 and since early this year, VND1.5bln was also funded by the local people to make 3,000 meters of rural roads.
