In the morning of August 15, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Dau Tieng district held a ceremony to announce and put into operation the collection and treatment area for Covid-19 patients at Ngo Quyen Field Hospital of 500 beds. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Mr. Pham Van Chanh, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee cumChairman of Provincial People's Council, Ms. Nguyen Minh Thuy, Standing Member cum Head of the Organization Department of the provincial Party Committee, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee cum Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and leaders of functional departments and branches.
Mr. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Chairman of Dau Tieng district People's Committee, said that the treatment area is arranged, staffed and equipped with treatment capacity on the first floor according to the triage model that the Ministry of Health has established and recommended. The collection and treatment area for Covid-19 patients was built on the basis of requisitioning Ngo Quyen Primary School in Dau Tieng town. The unit investing in completing infrastructure and equipment is Charm Group and a number of businesses operating in the province with a total estimated socialization budget of about VND 35 billion. Ngo Quyen Field Hospital is expected to perform better in collecting and treating Covid-19 patients for local people; at the same time, offering enough capacity to share with "red zone" localities in the treatment of Covid-19 patients. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao highly appreciated the efforts of Dau Tieng district in well implementing measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.
The provincial health sector and Dau Tieng district leaders continue to direct, guide and support the Board of Directors of the collection and treatment area for Covid-19 patients at Ngo Quyen Field Hospital to better perform the collection for treating Covid-19 patients after being put into operation along with doing a good job of screening and scanning for Covid-19 to establish safe "blue zones" and bring the whole district back to normal production and business activities in the new situation. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao expressed deep gratitude to organizations and businesses that have been joining hands with the locality in disease prevention and control. On August 14, the provincial People's Committee made a decision to establish a Covid-19 patient treatment area in Phu Giao district with a scale of 100 beds. The treatment area located at Phuoc Hoa Regional General Clinic of Phuoc Hoa Commune in Phu Giao District will perform the collection, care, treatment and emergency treatment of Covid-19 patients in the province including 80 beds on the 2nd floor and 20 beds on the 2nd+ floor of the treatment triage.
It is forecasted that because the number of asymptomatic F0 cases will increase, in the coming days, Phu Giao district needs 20 more doctors and 40 nurses to operate the district's medical quarantine area for asymptomatic Covid-19 patients. As of August 15, the district has 722 patients being treated and 908 patients have recovered.
