January 1, 2022 is a very special day, an important development milestone of Binh Duong province after 25 years of re-establishment. To celebrate this meaningful event, the province will hold a ceremony to celebrate Binh Duong's 25 years of development (January 1, 1997 - January 1, 2022) and an art performance program named "Binh Duong-25 years of confidence and advance" combined with celebrating the New Year 2022. Regarding preparatory work as well as cultural and artistic activities to be held on this occasion, Binh Duong Newspaper had an exchange with Nguyen Khoa Hai, Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

- Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the unit tasked with planning and organizing a ceremony to mark Binh Duong's 25th anniversary of development. Could you tell me more about the purposes and requirements of the plan to organize activities to celebrate the re-establishment of Binh Duong province this year?
-This year, Binh Duong province organizes a ceremony to celebrate "Binh Duong’s 25 years of development" to evaluate the local achievements during the past 25 years while creating a joyful and excited atmosphere at socio-economic achievements at people’s needs of entertainment, spiritual cultural enjoyment on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of the province (January 1, 1997 - January 1, 2021).
Under the direction of provincial Party Committee and People's Committee, activities to celebrate Binh Duong's 25th anniversary of development must be solemnly organized, creating a joyful and excited atmosphere among people from all strata in the province. The content and form of organizing these celebrations must be practical, appropriate in scale, economical, safe and effective, and especially ensure safety in Covid-19 prevention and control.
- According to the plan, what are special activities for this event, sir?
- Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the unit assigned the task of coordinating with relevant units to perform a ceremony to mark Binh Duong's 25th anniversary of development.
As planned, the ceremony is expected to officially take place at 9:00 a.m on December 31, 2021 at provincial Exhibition and Convention Center. The expected number of participants in the event is about 250, aiming to ensure Covid-19 prevention and control.
The ceremony’s main activities include a special art performance; statements of provincial leaders; a reportage film "Binh Duong-25 years of development", statements of outstanding enterprises, statements of outstanding young citizens; commendation, reward for outstanding organizations and individuals in the cause of Binh Duong’s construction and development…
Also on this occasion, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will preside over and coordinate with other units, departments and sectors to organize a special art performance with the theme of "Binh Duong-25 years of confidence and advance” and in celebration of the New Year 2022. The program will be organized at 8 pm on January 1, 2022 at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center and is broadcast live on Binh Duong Radio and Television, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among people on the occasion of the local important celebration. The content of the program is to praise homeland, people and dynamic development of Binh Duong province during the past 25 years.
- In addition to the above main activities, on this occasion, how will the sector organize, coordinate and direct localities to organize other celebrations, sir?
- To create a joyful and excited atmosphere among people from all strata towards this event, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also directed its affiliated units to carry out celebrations in accordance with their operations; decorate, hang banners and propaganda posters on streets. In addition, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also coordinated with relevant units to set up specific plans and organize cultural, artistic and sports activities to celebrate the event.
In addition, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed its affiliated units and the Culture and Information Divisions of districts, towns and cities to strengthen visual propaganda activities and organize cultural, artistic activities to practically celebrate Binh Duong-25 years of development in accordance with the local real situation while ensuring Covid-19 prevention and control.

- Up to now, preparatory work for the event is being urgently implemented by provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with other units, sectors and agencies in accordance with the assigned contents and tasks. The units of the department are also practicing art performance items to serve for the ceremony on December 31, 2021 and the art program on the evening of January 1, 2022. All preparatory activities are still being implemented on schedule. On December 29, provincial Organization Committee for great holidays will conduct a final review of the program to ensure that it will take place in a thoughtful, safe and successful manner.
