Everybody in Dinh Hoa secondary school (TDM City) knows about Nguyen Thanh Dat, who is a 9th-grade pupil engrossed by information technology and achieved the most excellent pupil title in 3 consecutive years of 7th, 8th, and 9th grade.
Dat seemed to be a good-natured and quiet person, but became a confident and open one while talking. “Dat is a comprehensively good pupil, and he has an affection for information technology. Although I am an IT teacher, but sometimes I admire and pride on Dat because of his arguments about IT”, said IT teacher Tran Nguyen Thanh Tuyen of Dinh Hoa secondary school.
Dat was able to present coherently and passionately his initiatives. His first product was the software "Traffic Safety" born with the hope that his friends could understand traffic law. In addition, Dat released 120 multiple-choice questions of driving license test on mobile phone.
Being good at chemistry, Dat realized that laboratory lessons on class are not enough. Thus, with helps from his teachers, Dat studied programming languages and composed software for better learning of 9th-grade chemistry run on Android operating system. In this software, Dat introduced 8 small experiments and 2 lessons practicing inorganic chemistry experiments to help friends in mastering phenomenon.
His software has been appreciated and loved by friends and teachers, because of its ease and practicality of use. The software has also brought to contests by his teachers. Dat obtained many prizes, such as: the third prize of TDM City, the third prize of provincial level, and the special initiative prize of the national VISEF science and technology competition.
"I will continue to study programming language to write more useful software assisting learning. Especially, I will continue to cultivate knowledge and skills to represent my school to attend contests…”, said Dat.
