Nguyen Thi Kim Mai: Measures to gather young factory worker initiated

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Mai has been so determined to fulfill task of the youth in Thai Hoa Commune of Tan Uyen District. She came to every house to call for young people to join the Youth’s League and Tan My hamlet league was established. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Mai (fourth from the right) is present at a signing ceremony for communication to change behavior of population control and family planning in 2011-2015 “In those days, we had not been facilitated with conditions to organize activities as it is now. We only had a guitar but everyone just stayed,” said Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Mai. She worked as a secretary to local Youth’s League after winning plenty of awards and titles ever since her 16s. After having graduated from School of the central Youth’s League, she returned to her locality to take over the position of Deputy Secretary of local Youth’s League and was admitted to Communist Party of Vietnam. The admission has inspired her to be engaged to activities with all out efforts of modelling and promoting movements. She took charge of radio program for young people with all the work done by her. The program was highly appreciated and introduced to other localities. Her first thought of organizing coaches for young people to gather has become the real project of organization of young people in hostels as built by Provincial Youth’s League. She also engaged in calling for donation to support children of immigrant workers through charity classes. After 2 years of enthusiastic devotion, she was voted to Deputy Secrertary of District Youth’s League and Chair of Youth Federation. She had the hardest days for taking care of so many tasks at the same time while taking care of her small family. Thus, she was worthy of 5-year provincial emulation sodier in 2010 and 10-year title of Party member with accomplished duty. “Working with the Youth’s League, I was trained to be self-supporting and was more confident in my work of community sharing,” said Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Mai.
