To mobilize all forces to carry out the vaccination

Reporting to the Provincial Party’s delegation examining the Covid-19 vaccination, Tran Thi Thao, Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Ben Cat town, said that covid-19 vaccination is one of the key tasks, thus Party Committee, Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention control, and People's Committee of the town paid specially attention to this work. Explaining the reason why the rates of of second and third shots were low, the leader of Ben Cat, said that after Tet, a part of the people, who are workers returning to their hometown and have not returned to the province. On the other hand, many people, especially workers, were injected at different localities, making it difficult for statistics. In addition, some people were subjective after they had received two shots, hence they did not want to get the third shot.

In particular, people from 12 to 17 years old receiving the first shot reached 100%, second dose reached over 85%. In the coming days, the district will mobilize all forces to speed up the vaccination process for people.

Giau also said that the district would cooperate with Management Board of provincial industrial parks to work with some businesses to arrange a schedule to help workers receive the third shot. "The district determines to give the second shot to people aged 12-17 and third shot to people aged 18 and over, and strives to reach 100% by March 20. Explaining the reason why the rate of the third dose injection for group aged 18 and older was still low, Binh said that according to Ministry of Health's Document No. 10722/BYT-DP dated December 17th 2021 on the vaccination of basic doses and booster doses, the third and second shot must be at least 3 months apart. Thus, this group will be eligible to the third shot at the end of March 2022. However, Binh said the district will by all means strive to complete second dose for people aged 12-17 and third dose for people aged 18 and over and reach 100% by March 20.

Through practical surveys as well as listening to opinions of localities and branches on the covid-19 vaccination, Nguyen Van Loi appreciated the disease prevention and control of localities in recent years as well as the organization of covid-19 vaccination. The Party Secretary asked localities to continue paying attention to the prevention and control of covid-19 while the omicron variant is growing; to drastically direct the Covid-19 vaccination, which focuses on investigating, surveying and accurately statistics the number of people who have not received the second and third shots living in the area to have an injection plan. Localities must organize continuous injections on weekdays and at night for areas where many workers have to work during the daytime.

The Provincial Party Secretary hoped that localities that have done well should do better, and make more efforts to perform the covid-19 vaccination to complete the second shot for people aged 12-17 years and third shot for people from 18 years old. Nguyen Van Loi also asked localities to timely enter the correct data to update to the province's immunization system. Provincial Department of Information and Communications and Department of Health should support training for localities having difficulties in data entry. "The whole political system must make the highest efforts to carry out the vaccination against Covid-19 to protect people's health, protect production...", stressed the Party Secretary.
